Gasland Chef IHGD-S23C Cast Iron Griddle: Product Review & Demo
Hey Everyone! My wife and I really enjoyed cooking and reviewing this Gasland Chef Griddle! We made some pancakes for breakfast to try it out. It is a smaller griddle, perfect for cooking two entrees at the same time.
The cooktop we have does heat up both sides well, but due to the size being smaller and not exactly over each burner there is a slight inefficiency of the griddle not being directly on the center of the hob, aka coil. This is a minor issue but something to be aware of.
Hope you all enjoy the video! Please consider subscribing!

Rok-Lok Guitar Strap System Review: It Ruins Your Paint/Finish!
Переглядів 49514 днів тому
@Rok-Lok Picked up this system up to replace my aging Planet Waves locking guitar strap. It's a very well executed system similar to what I had but it has a major problem especially if you care about your guitars paint and finish. Is the compressor not at risk by taking very hot air from outside and not the air of the room ? I don’t know if the compressor from theses machines are made to support very high temperature …

    • @Bassguitarist1985
      @Bassguitarist1985 3 дні тому

      Valid question, but I have been running this for the last year or so since this video came out during the heat waves and no issues. I took the advice of another commenter to keep both the exhaust and intake hoses as short as possible to prevent any air resistance. It's also reduces the amount of radiated heat from the exhaust hose going back into the room. Window air conditioners cool off their compressor and condenser coils with the hot air outside all the time. The exhaust fan is drawing air from the vent I made the hose for over the compressor/condenser, same as a window unit.

    How is the propane supply metered depending on the load of the generator? From what I see, it is not - it's just running the same amount of fuel regardless of the load on the generator. Also, what mechanism exists to ensure the flow of gas is turned off when the generator stops? Who would be ignorant enough to think that doing it this way this is a good idea?

      The demand regulator AKA the larger diaphragm regulator mounted to the generator is what regulates the gas flow. It is still using the stock throttle plate of the carburetor to manage the RPMs of the engine which is run by the electronic stepper motor. The demand regulator like all regulators is operated by spring pressure balance. The more vacuum that acts upon the demand regulated the more the orifice opens up to let more propane in. It's called a vacuum lock off so when the engine is off no propane flows. Some may elect on larger engines to put a safety electronic solenoid that locks off the propane flow for added safety.

    There are so many of these types of videos that do not take into consideration the fact that you are indeed using the previously-cooled air to cool the condenser, but you will lose a lot of efficiency if you use outside (presumably much higher temp than the inside air) air. Of course there is a little bit of savings by converting to a dual vent system, but if you do the calculations, it is very small, so take your results with a grain of salt. Now the vacuum issue is a problem if you are in a very tight room, but most people are just augmenting a bedroom, so the issue is also negligible.

    • @Bassguitarist1985
      @Bassguitarist1985 8 днів тому

      Appreciate your response. I ultimately see that a dual vent is best, even if gains are small. The vacuum condition is a problem bottom line. The warmer from outside cooling the condenser does lower efficiency slightly yes, but it's not an adverse effect to the point the AC doesn't cool properly. It was a worthwhile project to do in my eyes..others have found value in it as well. Thank you again for your insight too!

The blade works very well, but you need the manual angling kit to move the blade so you don't have to get off the tractor every time to adjust it. Hard kit to find though. NLA I think

    I am currently experiencing a huge issue with 'Dirty Power' in my home. Since I am unable to find anything online with respect to using an isolation transformer with a guitar amplifier to clean-up my 'Dirty Power' issue. I was wondering if you would have any thoughts on this matter? Are there any issues as far as not having a path to ground if using this unit with a guitar amplifier? Or, any other issues there may be. Thanks in advance. -Jay

    • @Bassguitarist1985
      @Bassguitarist1985 18 днів тому

      Exactly what do you mean by dirty power? It is not advisable to run a guitar amplifier assuming it's a tube valve type without a safety earth ground. The isolation transformer will not clean up high total harmonic distortion. If you are dealing with RFI and EMI issues there is some filtering that can help but it does not offer a great deal of suppression that a proper power conditioner normally has.

    • @jaylinton3003

      @@Bassguitarist1985The exact definition of ‘Dirty Power.’ My tube guitar amp is utterly useless because of the power coming into my home. Actually, all of my amps are completely useless because of my power situation. And I understand that running a high voltage amp without ground is a no no. I assume connecting the ground inside isolation tranny would completely defeat the purpose…? Can you recommend a power conditioner that actually works? I’ve tried a few by Tripp lite and I might as well have been using nothing at all.

    I can’t believe how much zinc is produced per sink-full. I have very well balanced city water and I get a lot of zinc debris which makes me think they installed anodes which are too sacrificial

      Yeah who knows. I thought my city water was a bit better quality controlled. Just means that the maintenance intervals are going to be more frequent in order to prolong the service life

    I just recently pulled the motor to replace several things. I replaced both crank seals, camshaft seal, oil pump seal, propeller shaft bushings, t-stat and gasket, coolant, oil filter, pto clutch from a used motor(upon disassembly, the flex part of the pto stretched), regapped magneto, starter(ears torqued off), then put it back together. (this was over a period of several months) First Issue: At first the carb was dumping gas into the gas tank catch can underneath. So I cleaned the carb, replaced the gasket for the breather piece that is sandwiched between the carb and head(custom cut by me), and that seemed to solve the flooding. - But, now when at low idle, it will start stumbling after about 10 seconds or so, so I have to bump the throttle up to get it to level back out. When I do, I get a little bit of black smoke, then it stabilizes. Second Issue: Im getting a noise from the front of the motor now that was not there before. It has a similar sound to this guys 4514 in pitch, but a bit louder, starting at around the 6:35 mark. ua-cam.com/video/IIBVTq5Yoq4/v-deo.htmlsi=6PrYosICqF01g2s2&t=390 The pto clutch will engage and run the blades, so Im not sure if it's something to do with that, or the engine itself. (The noise is a bit high pitched. I've heard it before on someones video of theres running. They believed it was normal, but mine never made this noise,) Note: The bolts that hold the base plate on(really long bolts) snapped in half in the head, when I was disassembling it. But interestingly enough, they tighten down just fine like that. Im pretty sure I put it back together in the correct sequence using diagrams and my own pics from the tear down, but Im not certain if their was specific torque specs that needed to be followed or what. The service manual is a little vague on this. Also, I need to replace the deck belt because it has several cuts in it, and is extremely loose when the blades are engaged. (The cutting of grass is weak and slows the motor down some when before it would cut right on thru with no hesitation, considering the grass height.) What do you think? thanks

    How often do you drain the unit if you leave it plugged?

    • @Bassguitarist1985
      @Bassguitarist1985 22 дні тому

      On really humid days once a day. Very little condensation hits the tray since it is evaporated over the condenser coils and out the exhaust tube.

    Will these handle any digital pedals at all?

    • @Bassguitarist1985
      @Bassguitarist1985 24 дні тому

      Yes within the given milliamp range. They are completely isolated from each other so if there's any perturbations or lack of filtering on older digital pedals for example this should take care of it.

    I did this to my midea 8000 BTU unit, the difference was negligible. Almost like the engineers designed it to be efficient using the rooms cooler air. Not sure. Smaller condensers aren't going to be as efficient using 20 degree warmer outside air. I think this is why they say a single hose unit has to work harder to get the room cool, but once it's there it's fine.

    • @Bassguitarist1985
      @Bassguitarist1985 8 днів тому

      Thank you for the insight. I still think the advantages of a dual hose outweigh a single hose unit. Window units operate the same way with warmer air cooling their condenser coils, and compressor size is about the same too. The negative pressure issue in the room is a big issue in my mind, you don't want to pull air away from another room. If you are in an apartment and someone is smoking, ick. Thank you again for watching!
